It's been awhile since I did some straight up ink+brush work, so here's a little inky Vader piece to dust off those cobwebs.

Watercolour/ink piece trying to refine working at a smaller scale. Thought I'd do this via a classic Star Wars moment with Luke in the X-Wing (my character Leroy wears an orange hoodie similar to the colour of the X-Wing pilot suits so this was a good test..... not like I need an excuse to draw something from Star Wars though). Here's a new thing, featuring the Second Story Kid from the Foot Soldiers. I did this in preparation for an FS short story I'll be doing soon with Jim Krueger. Looking forward to diving into this world.

RIP Michael K Williams. Losing creative people always hits hard, especially during times when the world feels extra bleak and we seek out extra sources of meaning and inspiration. Take care everyone.

Here’s a digital painting experiment that kind of got away from me, but I also kind of like it. It’s a Rancor… apparently.

Playing around with some minimal clean colour on a few pieces while I work on laying out some new comic pages. I quite like how this one turned out, the clean sharp colours match the cold straight lines of the inks quite well.
